Vehicle Emission Testing in North Jakarta Mayor Office Continued Until July 18

This is our commitment to improve air quality in Jakarta

North Jakarta Government continues to carry out vehicle emission testing for civil apparatuses (ASN) who use office cars and private cars in North Jakarta Mayor Office. This is the second phase of emission testing that lasts until July 18.

North Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-department's Environmental Impact Supervision and Hygiene Control Section Head, Suparman stated, his side will ensure all cars in North Jakarta Mayor Office, especially those that haven't take emission testing on the first phase, to be tested on July 17-18.

"Those who don't pass emission test are not allowed to park in North Jakarta Mayor Office's T Building's parking lot," he asserted, Monday (7/15).

This emission test is also given to vehicles that have passed the first emission testing for data collection.

This time, North Jakarta Assistant for Economy and Development, Suroto, instructs all civil apparatuses to submit list of vehicles used by each UKPDs to ease their work on checking the vehicles.

"This is our commitment to improve air quality in Jakarta. I want vehicles that haven't passed the test to be repaired thus it can meet the emission standards. Cars that do not pass the emissions test are not allowed to park in our parking lot," he explained.
